He’s top class. An absolute steal from Hibs.

The improvement he's made in the past 12 months is quite remarkable.  He was a steal from Hibs once he became an established Championship player.  He's put 7 PL performances in on the bounce which have been to drawer with goals to boot.  If this carries on, it's going to be very hard to keep hold of him next summer, if not January.

Assuming (fingers crossed) we stay up, why will it be hard for us to keep hold of him?  We're not run by Doug or Randy any more.

Depends on who’s interested I guess.

And whether we stay up and start investing again next summer. I think we will, if we do, and so McGinn will stay put for a while at least.

He's not going anywhere. He loves it here, we love him and even if it is a struggle this season, we have owners who will make sure we're staying where we belong. Mings, Engels, Grealish all superb but John McGinn is our heartbeat. Incidentally, Leicester fans owe Celtic a debt of gratitude...Rogers walked because he couldn't get him. He knew.

It doesn't matter who you're run by - If a top 4 side come knocking, it's hard to keep a player.

And you're being very unfair on Doug & possibly Randy.  I don't think either wanted to sell our best players.

Is this what it's going to be like every time he scores a goal? Oh no Liverpool might buy him...  ::) Wasn't it Mings to Man City last week?

He's here, he's awesome, any bid in January would have to be ridiculous considering staying in prem for one season is worth £100 million.

Can’t recall many clubs letting their key players go in January. Not a chance of mcginn going then

He's just signed a new long term deal. He'll be staying, we don't need the money. The only way he might leave is if we get relegated.

We're trying to build something here, not dismantle it. Look at what our owners did with Grealish when Spurs were almost there for proof of what they'll do.

We can't help ourselves can we?  As soon as any of our players start showing decent form they will be off in the next transfer window. I'm amazed that Grealish lasted at least 6 windows.

We don't have to sell anybody regardless of how much another club wants any of our players.

The panicking over our players doing well and being taken by the top 4/6 is why I find the accusations of 'small time' that come out so often so frustrating, in my opinion the most small time thing about the club right now is that we, as fans, seem to be scared to consider ourselves a big club just in case something goes wrong.
