From the days of yore, I'm sure I remember a situation where someone spent a game trying to get themselves sent off so's they wouldn't miss The Cup Final, or something along those lines. Did it happen? Anyone else recall the suchlike? Was it Bryan Robson?

Changing the subject (sorry) but why the 'meatball' nickname/reference?

I remember Villa players, possibly Ehiogu and Staunton, getting themselves booked so as to miss a league game and be back for a League Cup Final.

Yep, big meatball-like head & small features, if you look at him closely.

Andy Townsend said Dalian once got himself booked so he could have Boxing Day off.

One of them was Savo, he deliberately kicked the ball away, at Liverpool when we went 0-3 down in about five minutes a couple of weeks before the League Cup Final.

Apparently a singer/songwriter has produced a new song for SJM. From what I’ve heard of it, it sounds god awful. When will ppl learn that these recorded songs never work and won’t be adopted or sung by the fans. I reserve the right to take that back if it catches on! :D

Can't we request the bookings be split between the two John McGinn's?

Thankfully not. Is that the one they played and had us all cringing to at the Cup Final?

It’s someone called Emma Flowers and it’s “taken Twitter by storm” according to BMail

Suspected that - thanks for confirming. UTV
