I hoped he'd gone.  He seems to be labouring under the misapprehension that he's the only person on the site who has realised that McGinn is in danger of another ban.
I think your ll find rene risso I'm highlighting the fact mcginn can miss some or all of the play off matches as the cut off does not apply to play off matches therefor mcginn can be suspended at any time for 3 games until play offs are over . That's it not mentioning til deemed necessary.

Though developing things I gave some thought as to why mcginn is getting cautioned  no one else has done that. Not saying people don't realize these things but am bringing to attention and some frankly won't be aware so I'm doing a good service .  Pioneering ideas and bring it to one another's thinking is what I do .
Stop trying to stop my disservices to the site. I think I brought up very good point to why mcginn has 13 yellow cards actually !

Is there any footage of where they took a short corner near the end, which he then turned into a dribble towards goal and a shot that the keeper turned over?  This doesn't seem to be included in the Sky highlights.

It was very satisfying wasn’t it.

It’s like the nutter on the bus and the boring bloke in the pub rolled into one.

I think John McGinn is ace. He has 13 bookings but I don't care as there is nothing I can do about it. I'm off now, and you will not hear from me until my next post.

Many thanks.  It was glorious, great shame the keeper managed to keep it out - presumably one of the shots 'straight at him' according to some on here!

It was a very good effort, but when a keeper doesn't have to move to his left or right at all to make a save, surely by definition it's "straight at him"?  That's not to devalue it at all though, it was a fierce strike with very little time for the keeper to react.

Can't you at least wait till his next booking?

I think he should have passed it.

Not wishing to deflect from the love in, but if he'd laid it off, El Ghazi could've just rolled it in the bottom corner.

Just saying, like.

Sometimes I also get confused between El Ghazi and Davis when I am cleaning my glasses.

I meant El Ghazi. In all the excitement I'd not spotted Davis!

This should clear up McGinn card-gate once and for all courtesy of BMail:

Quote
Explained: Why John McGinn could miss ALL of Aston Villa's playoff charge

The AVFC midfielder has had a stunning first season in English football

Although Jack Grealish has claimed all of the Aston Villa plaudits in recent weeks, it is his midfield partner that has continued to flourish.

John McGinn has enjoyed a near perfect start to life south of the border, after his move to Villa from Hibernian last summer.

Celtic were also keen on the Scotland international and his super Championship performances have made it clear to see why.

He has become influential in Dean Smith's side, scoring four and creating two in his last six games.

Despite that, Villa may have to go into the playoffs without the 24-year-old.

One slight blot on McGinn's copybook has been his unerring ability to pick up yellow cards.

His caution against Bristol City was his 13th of the campaign. He has already served a two match suspension for reaching 10 yellows but the fate for hitting 15 could be a lot more severe.

The FA regulations stipulate that should a player reach 15 yellow cards before the end of the season, they would face a three game absence.

Should McGinn pick up two more yellow cards, he will face a three game ban that will carry on into the end of season playoffs.

An EFL spokesperson has told BirminghamLive: "Bookings in the Play-Offs don’t count towards a suspension but bookings in League matches leading up to the Play-Offs do. Therefore if a player was to accumulate a 15th yellow card on the final day of the season they would then miss the entire Play-Off campaign (if their team was to make the Play-Off Final)."
