When 6 minutes of extra time was called everyone around me was like, "WTF?! 6 minutes?!"

We needn't have worried with SJM on the case. That bit at the end when he received the ball in the box and thought "nah, I'll just take it to the corner flag".

Taking the piss big time. Love it!

He's like a playmaking, goal scoring defensive midfielder with a winning, team mentality. Thank you Hibs. You was robbed, but thank you.

We just have to go up. Grealish and McGinn in the same PL team at the same time is too great an opportunity to miss. With one or two equally astute additions we would be a force to be reckoned with up there. And no chance of keeping either of them if we're not up, they're way too good.

My four year old was singing the McGinn song yesterday. I will try to get a video of him later.

I'm going to walk his dog and mow his lawn. He shouldn't move a muscle his week.

He's already walked it 10 miles and mowed the Villa Park pitch while he was doing it.

Like. It is the return of the James Milner's Awesomeness thread!

Well he averages 1 every 3 matches.
And as say if he gets 15 bookings then he gonna be suspended for 3 matches and play off matches count as part of it. I won't highlight it again but feel need to make it abuduntantly clear as people seemed to debate it! And also not acknowledge that he picks up too many yellows
So for all his amazing contribution Mcginn he's spoiling himself with the bookings
He's had 2 suspension this season already.
The play offs are part of the season anyone who thinks otherwise just doesn't get it !
The threshold is there and those are the rules. I don't understand  why people think they  would they be wiped out just because team reaches play off. It's part of the playing season!!

So let's have it right and not misinterpret and its why I mentioned the thing in the first place . Why would I make such a point otherwise. Unbelievable

Say he gets booked next two matches
Bolton
Millwall

Then he suspended
Leeds
Norwich
Semi final leg
-------------------------------
Eligible for
Semi final leg
Final

If he gets just one booking in next 2 matches hes therefor at risk of missing more .of crucial play offs

I won't ever mention this again until it happens. Only based on fact he can't help getting booked
I will shhh now on bookings subject .
Debate or ignore all you like but I posted for good reason !

Other than that the guy is a perfect player! And an absolute joy with bundles of energy !
I hope he plays more wisely to prevent the very likely scenario of suspension.
Thats all

Seeing as you keep going on about it and repeating yourself, do you think any yellow cards picked up in the two playoff semi-final games would be included in the “season” and be added to his existing 13 bookings (ie let’s say he has 14 after the Norwich game, and he gets booked in the second leg, then would he be banned for the final?). The understanding on here as stated in the FA rules is that the final game of the season is the Norwich game, and any bookings received in the playoff games wouldn’t be added to any existing number of bookings.

I think his efforts on Weds night caught up with him a bit yesterday as he was on the periphery of the game for long periods, until the last 10 mins when, yet again, he seemed to find a burst of energy and was immense. Brilliant game management from him.

Can someone please give a final answer on this McGinn booking situation. Is there a clean slate for the play offs or not? He so important that we really can’t take any risks on this.

Yes, he can be banned for the play-offs. But no, he can't be banned during the play-offs (unless he gets sent off, obviously).

Gets to 15 any time before the final whistle vs Norwich, he's out for three games, be that play-offs or the start of 19/20.

After that whistle, the slate is wiped clean, and he'll be free to get himself booked in each of the play-off games without fear of immediate suspension.

After the end of the play-off final, any soiled slates get another wipe, ready for next season.

Rest him next Friday.
Yesterday's booking was really stupid! Totally unnecessary, particularly with a ref that didn't mind flashing the yellows.

Unnecessary but not his fault. As far as I could see, AEH played his way into trouble, McGinn had a choice of taking a booking or letting a 4 vs 2 attack start.

I'd rest him on Friday as well

No idea. Why didn't Barry take the penalty?

No idea. Why didn't Barry take the penalty?

A) Does he have a release clause, and

B) Could it start a bidding war?
