Although he scored from another position on Saturday, I do like him playing on the left side of central midfield.  As he showed on Saturday, he produces real quality from areas on the left and looks a threat on that side.

I would still love to see Grealish pushed up a bit further on the left with McGinn supporting him and a good, attacking left back bombing on outside them.

Too good for the championship the only real improvement he can make to his game is to stop over hitting the ball

I agree that's McGinn's best position

But I think jack should play centrally so we just need them both to move around into positions

Pointless international breaks! All we need is Chester to get injured!

I blame you for this!

McGinn, Chester and Bjarnason all injured. Good job we've got a nice easy game next week.

Smith confirms that he is leaving it as late as possible before deciding on McGinn.  I reckon he will be on the bench.

McGinn trained today alongside Chester at Bodymoor. I can see both starting.......

McGinn, throughout the match against Boro as he did in previous away match against Derby was making effective runs forward as was as a number 8 given a role like back support striker.

Certainly against Boro he was the one who was higher up the pitch than Grealish who droppped a bit deeper.

Interesting moves as Grealish wasn't getting in box or shooting as much last few matches as he was previous.

I think eventually they will work in tandem but with Hourihane and Mcginn in middle I think smith likes Mcginn further forward runs and Grealish offers the right foot balance closer to Hourihane.

In tine the fluidity will come as will balance because I think a new dm or Whelan with mcginn could see Grealish pushed further forward.
