If he's anyway near as good as the hibs fans reckon, I predict he'll have ousted hourihane from the midfield by November

The Express says that Packie Bonner says that Brendan Rogers will be fuming. Fuckin A.

Before some bright spark asks how Packie knows what Brending is thinking, I would like to proffer a preemptive "for cough".

What a great day to be a Villa fan!

From what people have said and the small clips I've seen he could be a gem.

Yup. It could turn out to be a great bit of business. Hibs fans can't speak highly enough of him.
If we do keep hold of Jack I think these 2 could compliment each other quite nicely....a lot better than Conor or Glenn can.
Just a couple of weeks ago we were staring into the financial abyss thanks to the shenanigans of Dr X and co. Today we have told Daniel "the vulture" Levy to shove his 25mill up his arse and we've outbid a huge club like Celtic to land the signature of a very promising young talent from Scotland. In light of recent developments it's a momentous day for Aston Villa Football Club. Welcome John Mcginn to our illustrious club. Massive thanks to the new owners. Can't fookin wait for Saturday.

He probably is fuming - at their board. They could have had the deal done ages ago but quibbled over pennies. I imagine Pocchetino is probably feeling a similar way with Levy.

Welcome on board John, looks like the kind of player we've missed since Milner.

Great player, and a great signing. Seen a bit of him, and he's a good wee player. And it's pised the Celts off. Bonus.

I know nothing about this guy and I hope he's a world beater but once again what message does this send to the likes of Callum O'Hare?

Aren't we in danger of making the same mistake of the last two owners and trying to buy success whilst ignoring our youth set up?

Not really. There’s a balance to be struck and you can’t place sole reliance on youth. If a young player is good enough they’ll come through.

Once Steve Bruce is sacked.

I think he's more of an 8 than a 10 like O'Hare

But I agree would be great if we can shift out Lansbury, Gardner, Taylor etc

He’s a full-back though.
