Seatwave

The partnership with seatwave still a thing? Just having a look on their site and nothing on there, that normal for first game of season?

I was just about to ask the same question. I don’t remember reading we’ve finished our ‘partnership’ with them unless anyone can tell us otherwise?

Ticket exchange has disappeared from the OS so it looks like we have.

My heart says good riddance - they're thieving wankers who inevitably took money away from the club.

My head though says bugger, that means I won't get any money back for games I can't make!!

Think we did this before when we changed from Viagogo to Seatwave, happened during first week of the season so first few home games you had to buy tickets normally instead of the cut price ones that get posted.

Our first season in the Championship I bought tickets from Seatwave for the 1st home game of the season so it was definetely possible then rather than going through the official channels.

Im guessing the partnership has been quietly dropped......although looks like we have failed to inform Seatwave of this as they still have a Villa page and section live.

We switched from Viagogo to Seatwave early on in the relegation season. Main reason I remember is because we played Manure at home and hadn't announced Seatwave yet so no one could sell their seat if they couldn't make it.

I normally buy direct from the club but I’ve used it a few times especially if I go to a game on my own. It had advantages (buying a £28 ticket for £12-14 sometimes) and disadvantages (no ticket ref I added to your client ref). I thought it was a good idea for season ticket holders who couldn’t attend all games.

The original deal was for 3 years and it was signed in the middle of August 2015 so maybe Seatwave and Villa are negotiating a new contract??

And I look forward to a continued association with them or someone similar.

They didn't sell final tickets and for some games like sha, Wolves, Brighton you can only get a ticket from them if you already have a booking history. You buy a ticket and will then find it's cancelled.

And they do go on your booking history.

qpr and crystal palace use twickets, which was set up as an alternative to seatwave/stubhub so fans could to sell to other fans at face value or less.
