heheheh. i know all goalkeepers make howlers but being unable to trap the ball under no pressure is a pretty big disadvantage for a 'keeper. what's he gonna be like with some nasty championship forward chasing him down when he gets a hospital pass?

well we're going to find out pretty soon aren't we, but why not give him a chance first?

Blimey footyskillz. He better be 100% as good as Johnstone any less and he’ll be rubbish. I’m hoping he’s better than Johnstone because our other keepers are awful

It's just we saw SJ develop and literally saved Villa numerous occasions .

The GK is an important position and will need to be ready to cope with the demands of playing. Hopefully he's at a stage to take on challenge of being a no 1

He looks to have a build like that of the talented ac Milans Donnarumma both 6'5 and that tall frame mixed with agility .

This.

Be nice if people wait until he has played at least a minute for us before writing him off.

What's weird is didn't we try this experiment with Gollini  ? Young inexperienced over seaskeeper who Bruce quickly got rid of for someone ,though still young had some league exp ..

That said I guess it's tough getting in an exp keeper when United and Chelsea are snapping up Grant and Green

I can't see Andre Moreira being our first choice keeper.

I’m not convinced by Jed Steer and certainly not Mark Bunn. Another young lad so will see how he does. Being suggested in a few place he’ll be here for the season

Obligatory YouTube

I could have saved all of them and im 55

Err no thanks

I see him more as Steve Round's leaving gift. Third choice keeper.

Seems a pointless signing ..... unless a keeper is going to be number one choice then I would have thought Bunn was ok as number two ....he was last season
Surely money would be better spent elsewhere

Given the amount of injuries Steer has had I think it's fairly sensible to have a 3rd keeper, I don't rate Bunn at all so anything that reduces the risk of him playing a run of games is good by me.  If, however, this guy starts then I think it's fair to say that Bruce just doesn't like Steer.

I doubt we’d bring a player in on loan who wasn’t going to start.
