The binoculars and stop crying Frank Lampard stuff after the win was actually very funny. I have nothing bad to say against Derby or Lampard to be honest. This will be a good final with good football being played.

I agree. My son and I were season ticket holders in the lower North stand when Lampard broke the Chelsea goal scoring record and to be fair he was given a good ovation from the Villa fans and clearly appreciated it.

So was I, that was also the Appleyard "we know what you are" game.

He got stretchered off didn't he?  Remember Benteke getting sent off in the first half and Lampard scoring but not much else.

I like to think it's why Terry came. The pair of them in the changing room at that game, Lampard humbly basking in our appreciation of his great achievement, Terry saying, "That's not what I f***ing got! Again!! But you know what, I fancy some of it, I bet it feels good."

Second half. He scored, probably should have gone first half but Chelsea did have someone go off. Then early in the second Benteke went after dubious action from Terry.

Man City fans celebrate a goal in the FA Cup Final by politely clapping.

They didnít even bother clapping for the second!

In the spirit of my building up to things for Monday, I had a look on twitter for SJM winning that corner. I happened upon this gem.

Think you've scored a dramatic 93rd minute decider in a CL semi? May I never become this weary of celebrating success. Worst. Mental. Ever.

I really wish Smart phones had been a thing when I was younger. Cheltenham away to Rushden in their first promotion season is something I could cheerfully watch every day.

Just watching the 1998 Playoff Final between Sunderland and Charlton. Not sure I'd fancy a 4-4 draw and 7-6 on penalties  :o

I think most people like Derby. The Clough & Taylor years, the atmosphere at the old Baseball ground. I particularly remember Cascarino's debut there and the crazy FA Cup game under BFR. For the first we were stood in a a packed out away end on a very hot day and for the second we were seated in the upper tier on a cold night. I think a lot of people like Lampard too. I have no problem with Lampard or Derby at all and have no reason to desperately want to beat them other than the fact I want us to go up. I would imagine the neutrals are rooting for Derby as the smaller club. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way as they are a relatively big club but not as big as Villa.

Newport v Tranmere, and here we are with the bloody national anthems. For goodness sake, why?

I can live with it for a final. Be grateful you don't live in America where the bloody thing is played before every preseason high school game. The maniacs.

We should have a play offs anthem like the Champions League anthem. ;)

Great immediate post match interview with the Tranmere goalkeeper.

"I fucking told everyone we would win! Oops, sorry".

I also got the Celtic v Hearts score correct at 7/1.
