Not only was the match awful but there was the travesty of using a Captain Beefheart track to sell some car during BT's ads.

And there you have it, the triviality of the homecoming parade is the top headline on BBC News, fuck the missing climbers, fuck the Trump visit let's focus on a glorified piss up.

Now that's why I don't like certain teams doing well, a huge distortion of their achievement.

On the BBC's football homepage right now the first eleven stories are about Liverpool's triumph. Eleven. Including one entitled 'The best Champions League ever?' (I haven't read the article but I assume they don't reach the sane answer of no, it was mostly shite and the final was as pisspoor as football gets). I wonder how long I'll have to wait before it's safe to check football on the Beeb website again: might leave it till about 2022.

I was outraged, but expected nothing less from BBC sport, which has always acted more like the media wing of Liverpool.

Driving to a gig at the M&S in Liverpool today and caught the Liverpool parade bus steaming back through the lights and away. Quite surreal really. Then a load of scallies on push bikes chasing after it.

Traffic...not fun.

I am not happy about a Queen track being used to sell DFS sofas. For me it's a kind of tragic.

TBF, two semi finals being decided by very late goals would be great matches for Neutrals. Unfortunately the BBC seem to think we are all supporting English sides or are neutrals when Barca / Ajax were being supported by most.

Regardless of who was in the semi finals and who won them the two second legs will go down in legend. Unfortunately that just makes an awful final look even worse based on the two previous games in the competition involving the finalists.

Why's this thread been moved? Crazy VAR shenanigans in Portugal tonight.

Switzerland were the better team. Ronaldo did nothing apart from score 3 great goals! Thatís the difference.

Putting this in here Mods please move if necessary.

Shock, horror, surprise surprise, Roy Keane leaves Nottingham Forest.  Hutton probably scared the shit out of him.

The African Nations Cup games have in general been closer contests than I expected.

Which translates as 'I have lost a few quid in the last few days'.

The Angola coach looks like Paul Lambert. Even more so as he has that look on his face of a man who's side is currently losing.

Nigeria 3 Cameroon 2 and the match of the tournament so far. I stuck a few quid on Nigeria to win the competition before a ball was kicked. I fancied Egypt but I thought 4/1 was a ridiculously short price before a ball had even been kicked.

Hosts Egypt knocked out in the last sixteen by a very average South African side. Elmo has had a good tournament but Salah has been disappointing in my opinion.

AFCON must be so energy sapping. After a long season to have to go and do that in the heat just isnít conducive to good football. The games have been understandably really bland for the most part. Itís not a shock that the best players havenít performed to their high standards.
