Shite fixtures. There's only three away grounds I haven't been to and two of them are midweek. I'm destined never to go to Brentford. You'd think we would play there on a weekend once in three fucking years.

And we only have two days off before Forest away. Our police force putting us at a disadvantage again.

Wasn't the Burton game in 2016 our first Boxing Day game at home since about 2005?

16 mins after the fixtures are released and your blaming the police already. Blimey.

I really don’t like Monday night games. It always feels like the weekend football takes place without us and the new season will feel feel like it’s starting without us.

Big ask but if we can get ourselves sorted it's a decent start to the season.

Midweek games are Brentford home (August 21st), Rotherham home (19th September), Preston home (2nd October), Norwich away (23rd October), Forest home (Nov 28th), Brentford away (13th Feb), Forest away (12th March), Rotherham away (10th March) and Bolton away which is Good Friday (19th April).

Millwall is the Easter Monday home game.

It doesn't take that long to look for when we are playing Small Heath, imagine most people have managed to do that.

At least we aren't at home on Good Friday so we don't have to worry about the local God-botherers messing with our fixtures again.

That it should come to this. I remember when the fixtures announcement afforded us a pleasant day’s dreaming of what was to come. Today, however, we have the following 5 glamour games to open our season...

Hull, Wigan, Ipswich, Brentford and Reading.

How the mighty have fallen. I could weep.

The Small Heath games will always be on a Sunday. We should be used to it by now.
