The excitement of seeing 2 pages added quickly on the thread only to find a pun-a-thon has broken out.

Dreadful ain't it? All I've done is 'king tut at everbody's efforts.

Losing Chester IMO is the worst thing that could happen for the short term i.e. next season. Fucking hell.

Chester and Grealish are the only ones I would be bitterly disappointed to see leave this summer.  If Chester goes to another Championship club for well under £10m it would be a real kick in the teeth.

Indeed, although maybe the new investors will Hathor cunning plan up their sleeves?

The one thing that might work in our favour is that neither player is seemingly desperate to leave the club.

But why would they stay?

If we don't sell them we'll definitely breach FFP.  Doesn't matter how rich any potential new owner is - the cost base is just too high.

So if we keep them and win the league but breach FFP the league will just refuse us promotion, as they can under the current rules.  So Grealish and Chester literally have no possibility of getting promoted with the Villa.  So why bother?

Them going helps us and them.  There's no way it won't happen.

you can't blame Chester if he doesn't want a move to Stoke
even in the state we are in that's a downward move imo
