Stoke Sentinel (linked from Beeb gossip) seems to be thinking Chester to them is more or less done, sadly.

But likewise in this one someone competent will be looking and saying that Stoke & WBA will be favourites for those top 2 places so any deal should include incentives if they get promoted, anyone any confidence that that any deals will be anything other than the up front fee?

Local newspapers tend to run positive stories about their clubs.

Losing Chester IMO is the worst thing that could happen for the short term i.e. next season. Fucking hell.

Although the FFP is still active even if we are taken over, if we are taken over and the new owners put in a future plan that satisfies the EFL then I think the EFL would look favourably on us! Hopefully common sense would prevail in those circumstances.

Under Bruceball, the one thing that I look forward to every game is knowing that I'll be watching Jack show his class.  The one thing that entertains me whilst watching Bruceball is whenever Jack is on the ball.

Personally, this loss is probably going to hit me harder than any other because not only is he so pleasing on the eye to watch but he is one of us and was brought up watching Villa in much the same way that we brought our own kids up.

Selfishly, they can all go before Jack as far as I'm concerned.

For the good of the team though, you're probably right.

The harsh truth is that both are likely to go, making the choice hypothetical in any case.

I actually think Chester is emotionally connected to us too and will be genuinely upset at leaving.  Chester has been outstanding for us  since joining, bar one or two expected off games, and  the first few matches last year when adjusting to playing with Terry. He will be sorely missed should he go.

My overriding hope is that with these developments someone in the background is saying no to any outgoings and we can keep everyone.  To me that would be like a bunch of new signings!!

Worried it might be a Pyramid scheme.
