Does anybody with even the vaguest of ITK links think we'll honestly get taken over this summer ?

I'm praying so but i refuse to let myself get too excited

The club is being heavily pushed for sale.  It's almost a case of having to, to be honest, as the alternatives don't really bear thinking about.
If they start trading for cash then the FFP situation will get even worse and where ADmin and the points deduction looks like a soft landing.
The worse case scenario is where they trade for cash and go into Admin, then we are in scorched earth territory.
As Risso says it does not bear thinking about.

I haven't looked at the FFP at all, but could you in theory pawn the Stadium? Have a buy back option and lease it for 5-10 years?

I realise it a bonkers idea, and it would need a big incentive for the investor.

I thought Dr Death didn't want to sell?

I could see him on one of these channel 4 programmes in the future, countdown of the worlds most heinous doctors, Dr Crippen, Dr Shipman, Dr Xia, etc...

I've just read that Bournemouth are planning to spend £57M on two players.  I'm close to tears.

Am I the only person thinking that Simon Jordan's unusual twitter silence is a sign of something possibly happening?  And I don't mean his phone is broken.

Either that or he’s on holiday.  Brean Sands Pontins would be my guess.

I would be interested to know just what questions are raised when looking to establish if a prospective buyer fulfils the "fit and proper person" criteria

I would imagine that there's not much more to it than some sort of solvency test, and no outstanding war crimes tribunals at The Hague.
I don't think they set the bar that high. Honestly, give a dog a bad name....

He had to demonstrate that he could cover the operating costs for two seasons.  Which he did.

I popped in there last year for a quick look round for the first time in years. It was horrendous.

We did the same a few weeks back as our van is down the road in Burnham. They have smartened it up a bit.

On twitter from someone called derek o’leary An independent football reporter.

Hearing nothing from the #AVFC end unfortunately. Transfer interests are playing second fiddle to investor negotiations, but hearing that situation should be settled by Friday. Major board meeting with Xia scheduled tomorrow AM.

It is, he'd be mad to go there. He'll have gone to the one at Prestatyn.
