A number of things don’t add up what so ever with regards potential investment. It’s been reported that Xia has turned down offers that actually met his valuation. Seems odd to go those lengths of discussion to then turn the offers down.
On the other hand we have had long term rumours that Xia is simply the ‘front’ to who actually owns us and a few articles suggesting his investors are the ones not willing to sell without a significant ROI.
Fear the latter secenario/coupled with Xia trying to not lose faith will mean things get significantly worse for us before it can get better.
He is in the process of borrowing against every asset we currently have/cashing in on transfer fees in advance etc. This strategy will run out very quickly, then what!? It’s clear he does NOT have the cash flow to keep us up and running without beg/borrowing/stealing.

Another worry is us selling for FFP. I am not confident that funds from Jacks sale etc will be used for anything except running costs of the club. Again, what happens when we’ve cashed in on all our assets.
IMO -Xia will not be in charge by end of the season (at the very latest) regardless now. Either he does the sensible thing and sells up very shortly or at somepoint we will fall into administration and he will be forced out.

The whole future of the club seems to depend on selling Jack to keep the wolf from the door. One mistimed tackle, or studs caught in the turf as he turns, and the whole club disintegrates. That’s not a business plan.

Quite apart from anything I just cannot believe the mass revisionism when it comes to the doctor who has now turned into the biggest pariah to ever own the club from mass messiah type recognition and woe betide anyone who went against him or had the timerity to question who the fcuk he was in 2016.  Just sayin’ like.

Who’s given him the messiah treatment? I think plenty of people have been sceptical of his motives/source of money but were willing to give him a chance. That he’s proven to have been a charlatan, failure and poor custodian though doesn’t prove anyone wrong or right.

What is with people wanting to prove themselves right about Tony Xia, look at me look at me I said he was a wrong ‘un and I’ve been vindicated. Well done you and your Nostradamus nose for the truth.
I'm applauding this! My pal at work is a Jehovah's witness and revels in things like the threat of nuclear Armageddon. terrorism, etc. When the madman who runs North Korea was pissing off Trump with his weapons testing he had a smile from ear to ear "see I told you Armageddon was going to happen. We were right all along." Happens to be a villa fan too.

Surely he would be suitably insured from a club’s perspective

Be interesting if some of the players are ‘injured’ today and left out.
