I take it we’re back to the young and hungry model again?

I don’t think the Financial drama is over yet.

Me neither. Aston Villa this decade always seem to take "it can't get any worse" as a challenge.

It's seen as a dirty phrase on here but buying players with the potential to improve and selling them at a profit is how the majority of sports teams in the world operate. If the result of this is that Xia puts a 'rule' in place that we don't sign anyone over 27 for a fee then we're instantly in a much better position than we have been for years because we've been, in my opinion, the most wasteful side in English football. For years we've relied on spending a huge amount of our budget on guys who are a few years from retirement and have no resale value and our younger players have been sidelined to make room for them time after time.

Yeah, as long as they're not too hungry.

Food's not cheap, after all.

No one within the Management framework should get away with the total shambles the club has become, Bruce, Wyness, Round, Dr No, Dr. No's little poodle  Ho, Hey or Wey.
The first three for going on a shit or bust programe that failed, the fourth one for buying into the bullshit given him by the first 3 and his poodle for being his poodle.
If Dr No had such an interest in us prior to purchase, he would have seen the way the American man child handled us  and made sure we did not let it happen again, but no, lets go and buy or loan expensive misfits ( and the rare good loan), no resale value, leeches bleeding the club dry, (Richards and for his 2 years  while Dr. No has been here Gabby), let the manager form another squad on wages in this division other teams can only dream about, when one of them can't even figure how to get out of his gated mansion.
His statement should have been about his pursuit to selling the club to a suitable buyer as soon as possible, but I have a terrible suspicion that the club is not the Dr's to sell, he is just a face for other people and their money, that they now don't want to sell for some unknown reason or have seen Dr No allow to be pissed up the wall and now put the brakes on the second man child in a row to be steering the good ship Aston Villa.

So, he recieved an offer of 30%” but did not know where the money was coming from”!
Maybe The reason why he has not sold the club or (received an investment)  is because no one is prepared to pay the amount which will recover his full exposure ( or whoever put the money up in the first place).
This was the same as the Lerner situation until he swallowed the reality burger.

However it’s analysed, we are in the worst state that we have ever been in. The question is therefore whether Xia is the man to get us out of it. Sadly, I fear he isn’t, and is too stubborn to admit it; heaven only knows how the support will react if and when he shows his face at a home game again.

I just wish the clown Tony Xia would sell-up and fuck off. A complete muppet in charge of this club! A businessman? A joke more like!
