Thirded. After me and Olof’s Beard, Russon has the best taste in music on here so tune in or out.

I was stuck in a car coming back from Ipswich once with a bloke from the grim North (Stu will know the Uncle Albert lookalike I mean) who spent an hour of the journey playing songs from various Yorkshire folk singers. I would have cheerfully killed the bastard by the time we got as far as Brian Green's part of the world. And then the tosser stuck Bob Dylan on. We were caught in traffic as well. Bad times.

The last time I tuned in, he was detailing his position to his co-host on why he'd be glad if we never played the unwashed again, and would sooner see them slip down the ladder into oblivion rather than have to "enjoy" another derby day.

Sylvia Says by Charlotte Gainsbourg is my current favourite. She is a villa fan and coincidentally wrote it about Sylvia Plath (another villa fan).

Spoiler for Hiden:
I made the bit about them being villa fans up

Adore that track so will deffo give it an airing.

My Sideshow Bob for the night is a Leeds fan so i’ll be humouring him with some patter about players who’ve turned out for us both. My list has stalled at Stone, Snodgrass, Ugo, Dorigo, Bakke and the unmentionable one from Forest, if you can remember others do please shout up. S’pose I’d better namecheck DOL too.

Thanks for the requests and encouragement, it’s much appreciated. For those out on the razzle tomorrow night there’s a Listen Again function (no escape!)

Ugo, Alan Thompson, Alan Wright,  Simon Grayson, Eric Lichaj, Shane Lowry, Stephen O'Halloran, Robert Snodgrass and slip in Andy Gray and see if anyone picks up on the fact it was neither of the ones who played for us. ;)

Show duly delivered and available here if you want a giggle in the lead up to the game, car crash radio at its best/worst http://www.mearnsfm.org.uk/listen-again

Thanks for the requests, I played them all except for your attempt to string me up with a fifteen minuter UK Redsox! Played your HMHB though, enjoyed that.

That class of ‘82 tracklist in full -

Rimmer. Jimmy Jimmy (Undertones)
Spink . Making Plans For Nigel (XTC)
Swain. Eton Rifles (Jam)
Williams. William It Was Really Nothing (Smiths)
Evans. Overlooked to my shame.
McNaught. What’s The Frequency Kenneth (R.E.M.)
Mortimer. Denis & Louis (Happy Mondays)
Bremner. The Israelites (Desmond Dekker)
Shaw. Mudhoney (Joanne Shaw)
Withe. With No Shoes (Charlatans)
Cowans. Town To Town (Microdisney)
Morley. Heart Of Glass (Blondie)

Now, back to the bog for more nerve handling.

Listened to the last hour or so, really enjoyed it. Don't worry too much about Iron Maiden next time though.  :)
