I was in Rome with my Roman boss in 2001 (?) when Liverpool won the UEFA cup v Alaves, 5-4. We watched it in a pub called Shamrock which was near the Coloseum so reasonably central. Apparently there are several Irish bars there now so am sure you would find alternative options.A place I enjoyed going to for general food was called Gusto on Piazza Augustus Imperatore. Good basic Italian food downstairs and posher food upstairs. He took me to loads of older, out of the way wonderful restaurants too but sadly I can't recall any names.Enjoy!
Unfortunately I’d booked to go on holiday when the play off final is on so will be in Rome (thank fuck they didn’t get to the Champs League final!) so wondered if anyone knows anything about good bars to see the match on TV in Rome? Any help or thoughts welcome. (and no I’m not going to fly back for the match)

There's bound to be an Irish Bar in Sydney. They get them everywhere except Ireland.
Tony, try the Star Casino. Plenty of sports bars and open 24/7.
