The ‘via High Wycombe’ thing is just to highlight that you can’t get the quicker Virgin train to Euston from New St.

Edit: sorry, forgot add: you daft provincial, fascist, TalkSport-listening scum.

Where are the best places to park if driving into Wembley. Hanger Lane has been mentioned to me but not sure exactly where

Hanger Lane is basically the North Circular. I’d suggest parking up in somewhere like Harrow and then getting the tube.

I couldn't find a hotel room for a reasonable rate so I have to get the last flight back from London which means I'll cut it fine if we go to extra time or pens. Is there a taxi rank near wembley for the lucky dozen who get out first, or is train the only way?

Getting away from Wembley Mare. Best bet is to out towards the Hilton and towards central bound to be able to pick up a joey but it won’t come cheap

I've always used Hillingdon. Try to drive a few hundred yards past the tube station and park in a side road. There's no restrictions at the weekend and it avoids the queue to get out of the car park.

if you are a good walker you could head to Sudbury Town station not too far from Wembley. From there you are on the Piccadilly line to Heathrow via a change at Acton Town.
