Apart from the free kick we were never in trouble, played in full control the last half hour. Will have to step it up against Fulham, but we have the players to do so. Thought Jedi and Albert were great, Jack his usual self. UTV.

Job done, we should have been clear, very lucky with Sam.

As for Fulham, sometimes you play better against better teams.

I hope they don't.

Kodjia did really well when he came on.

He did, he looks back to his best. Could be the key in the final

Heart still pounding and shaking like a leaf. What a relief that's over. We should have won, much better second half by us but agonising at the end. Nearly 5 am here and I feel like a drink. No work today.

We've had some abysmal referees this season, but we got a break tonight.

I don't care. We're going to Wembley.

Time to banish the memory of 2015!

Boro were awful. Starting Shotton at right back again when they needed to create chances. Bamford on bench.

We were much better second half and should have finished off the tie. Johnstone's brain fart gave them a chance they didn't deserve. Terry and Chester rock solid again. Both wide men worked very hard and Kodjia was much improved.

Johnstone 4, Bree 5, Chester 8, Terry 8, Hutton 7, Snodgrass 7, Jedinak 6, Hourihane 6, Adamoah 7, Grealish 6, Grabban 5. Kodjia 7

I thought Grabban looked very dangerous. Two saves he forced.

I had to go out for a walk on eighty minutes, my old ticker can't put up with this stress.  Well done Villa.

Were boro singing where you were when you were shit after the game?
I think it was Villa fans singing it at the fat kids on the pitch. "When WE were shit"

No that was most of the upper tier at the lower tier invading the pitch.

Jedi MOTM, snodgrass close behind, worked his nuts off, Kodjia looked good could play a big role in the final, Adomah looked very poor early on but more like himself later on, Bree looked very nervous but settled down, defence otherwise rock solid

Jedinak 6 ????

Thought he was diabolical first half, kept passing every ball back to Johnstone. Good effort in second half. We weren't great tonight and need to improve a lot to beat Fulham on current form.
