Just done a bit of Googling (Sunday nights are that boring) and in the play off semi in 2007 Derby gave Southampton 5500, although away fans were still behind the goal then. In 2014 they gave Brighton 2700.
In 2015 Boro gave Brentford 2000 but they didn't sell out so wouldn't have taken more than that anyway.

Of course it's not petty. If they reduce our allocation to 2,000, they should be made aware that their allocation will be reduced accordingly as well. It's called negotiating and may well be an incentive to them to allow another 500 of our fans to get to the game.

Firstly, there is no indication that they will reduce our allocation, so let's not get ourselves too upset about a hypothetical situation.

Secondly, if a club's board of directors reduce our allocation, why should we punish said club's supporters? Especially if the seats will just remain empty if the away fans don't have them. That's the very definition of petty.

We could give Villa fans the upper tier.

Out of interest why do some people think neither Boro nor Derby will sell out at home? I would assume they are both capable of selling 28k tickets for a play off game.

I'd expect Derby to sell out. I doubted Boro would, as they always seem a rubbish support sort of team. However, I've since Googled the crowd they got for their last playoff and they did sell out, so imagine they would against us, too.

Boro will get 30k. When they were in the prem they used to give away fans behind the goal but since relegation they've changed it to by the corner flag which many clubs do now so not sure how that will affect the allocation.

Can I get in the queue behind wittonwarrior for a ticket please. Will likely be travelling up regardless and trying to go in the home end if I don’t get one for ours. Can also offer the guarantee of a final ticket in exchange as I’m a ST holder who is away for it (that’s if we get there)!

I'll have two spares if it's Boro, I've been there already this season and I have plans for that evening. If it's Derby I'll probably go though. PM me if you still want tickets after it's confirmed as being Boro.

I make that one ticket for WW and one for Shirley, unless either of you have been otherwise sorted since posting.

Actually, WW and Shirley don't other PMing me. I'll be drunk/travelling on Sunday so I'll PM you with the details on Monday when I've sobered up.
