Onomah has upped it past few weeks. Certainly in contention for Boro.

I like Onomah, played in the right role he adds drive to our midfield.
I am now thinking whether he should play instead of Whelan/Jedinak in CM position to pick up passes from defence and drive attacks through the middle?

On another day we win that 4-0, they are workmanlike but nothing more.

Having said that, the full backs still worry me.

The only other team that have spent so much time in their own half this season was Reading, who will surely hand Cardiff promotion. It was like attack v defence.  Based on today, I would prefer Derby in the play-offs and although possible, it's unlikely. At least the long trip to Boro will be on a Saturday evening.

I was pleased Snoddy stepped up in the second half. We need the wide threat and Albert hasn't really refound his form.

Next week I guess he'll play some youngsters and reserves, but I hope they can keep the momentum from the last few games.

Why did Bruce start Taylor? A liability from the start. Thankfully Hutton replaced him. Got to start Hutton every time now. Also, no point in Whelan the DM role. Onomah should've started all day long.

I thought Whelan had a good game today

Totally agree with all your points. We were much better and more mobile once Onomah replaced "Grandad".

I thought Whelan was o.k today, problem was formation.

Jedinak's nous would've got him closer to Lawrence but then he dosen't move the ball as quickly. Bjarni would've been fine in the middle today, is he going to be o.k for the play offs?

Would be amazed if he started in the play offs.

Football message boards are mad sometimes....I've had to shift through post after poster for last six months in Onomah thread saying he's one of worst loan players we've had, dosen't care about playing for us and we should've sent him back to Spurs already.

Now he should be starting in the play offs. As ever the truth is inbetween, impact sub to keep the tempo up as he did today.

It's that pesky Risso again with his posts, wonder if Josh has had relations with a relative like Hogan? ;)

He did except for their goal where he jogged back and after Taylor got done it forced Terry out of position leaving Cameron Jerome with the freedom of Villa Park.

Taylor all at fault for that goal, got done by their wide player and then tried to let it roll out for a goal kick.

It thought he'd be a good signing for us. He hasn't and think we'll try to move him on in the summer as imagine he'd be on a decent wage.

Kodjia must be so frustrated right now having come very close a few times in recent weeks. Something tells me though he’s about to explode and I think the combination of him with Grabban will play a massive role in the playoffs.

The positive for me today was he may not have scored but was getting into those goal scoring positions. Right now I'll take that.

He laid the ball off inside the area a few times as well. I thought he looked very useful.

I also thought Onomah - a player who doesn't convince me normally - did well when he came on.
