I returned a large 1980 umbro away shirt today. I'm waiting for the medium to come in. The white umbro away 1993 is allegedly going to be stocked next. I have an original so there.

Did anybody see the Henson retro shirts that were briefly advertised on a few Facebook fan pages?

I was lucky enough to engage with the fella before they were taken down, and i'm delighted to say it is legitimate. I received an away shirt on Thursday and it's terrific quality. If anybody is interested in hearing more, please reply to this and i'll tell you all i know.

These are actually made in Iceland by Henson and shipped over to an intermediary, who then ships them on further.

I don't begin to understand why, but Henson apparently approached AVFC in the first instance, who didn't give a favourable response....hence it going through an intermediary.

Mods - not sure if i'm allowed to say all this, so please remove if so.

No sign of any '81 away stock across the whole internetz but I notice they've released an away shirt from our last promotion season. Quite dapper too, certainly an improvement on the jam-roly-poly home shirt that year.

It's a shame Hummel couldn't have endorsed this, as it's badly missing the logo

From what I know of previously working in the club shop. The club shop only know about stock coming in about 24/48 hrs before it arrives and the online section is either in Manchester or Leicester as this is where Fanatics have a central warehouse which covers all the clubs fanatics deal with.

Tried looking Des, you have any links?

I agree those 87-89 shirts are missing the chevrons and hummel logo.

Hope you can open this okay? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/304995973671215/

It's on an Aston Villa selling page if not, just add to be a member and they'll accept. My pic is with the yellow shirt in my bathroom (nice shot of bog rolls in the background lol)

Cheers,
Nick

I’ve still got this shirt at home

I see kitbag have slashed their prices. They’ll never stay solvent at this rate

I'm going to wait for a few more years until it's £29.95.
