It is a bit marmite. I loved the Denmark 86 shirt, so was happy when we had something similar. I prefer the away one, but never owned one.

I can still remember going to the old club shop as a kid and spending my Christmas money on that.  £18.00 if I recall correctly, but can't remember if that was for the whole kit (claret shorts and white socks wasn't it).  The hummel kits that followed those are still two of my favourite ever Villa kits.

I've been looking for my old man's original shirt of that years, would be in near mint condition. It's so frustrating as it would never have been thrown out as I have all my Villa shirts going back to the mid 80s.

the only shirt ive thrown out is that bloody macron tat. Bloody toilet signs peeling off the shoulders, stitching coming undone, purple colour. They really were bilge....

I have mine, trouble is, I was 13 when I first had it. I'm tempted to place a bid.

Anyone owning the white/black/purple Hummel away shirt from 89/90 in size small or medium with a desire to sell, please do PM me.  I've been searching for yonks!

I have a version of that but without the Umbro on the sleeves - it is in an Airtex material and I love it

That Umbro one is my fave shirt of all time

Thanks mate.  Still got the ones I had as a kid and they are still two of my favourites, probably remembered so fondly because of the season we had as well.
