They said they could cope with demand and that was the big plus point of this deal. Instead we'll have no shirts on sale for most of August including when the season starts. No matter how anyone wants to try and spin it, that's piss poor.

But they HAVE been available ... so let's not forget that. The people who wanted it the minute it came out got it

The rest will have to wait a bit. I'm not sure it's going to cause them too much grief to wait a few more weeks when the season lasts until next May

As a general rule of retail you can only sell products you have in the store. The longer we don't have kit available the greater the number of people who will change their mind about buying a shirt.

The only people it's going to cause grief to is the club.

And now they aren't. No matter how you try and spin it, to start the season and have all of August with no shirts available to buy is piss poor. Especially as the whole point of this deal was to be able to meet demand quickly.

Anyway, now we have gone away from the traditional shirt, next years will be blue with a big white stripe down the front.

Not being able to satisfy demand when you've just made a big hoo-haa about satisfying demand because you're so innovative is piss poor.

That's the sort of situation that gets people sacked in lots of companies.

The blessing in disguise is that I'm sure our new owners have taken note of this whole kit shambles. The seem like savvy operators who'll realise that these things are rarely isolated events if a company has not been run well.  I doubt they'll be standing for this kind of thing in future.

Don’t say that...... we haven’t seen the 3rd kit yet.

Weren't there some rumours flying about that it was going to be based on the red, green and black Asics one?

Well given our new co-owner's other interests, I fully expect us to be wearing adidas next season...

I popped in yesterday to see our empty looking shop.

They had one or two medium / large / 2xl away ones and that was it. I was looking for a small adult for my lad, nearly bought him a women's one by mistake as it was labelled at the back as "small".

I even tried Mike Ashley's shop in the bullring, but nothing Villa in there of course.

He's only got a 5% stake, i can't see that happening after the success of this seasons Luke/Fanatics venture.

A week before the start of the season, and you can't buy a Villa shirt.

No wonder our commercial income barely grew despite being in the richest league in the world for a quarter of a century.

It would be more relevant if we asked the club how many we have actually sold rather than a % of previous sales although 700% increase of anything is a bloody big increase

If we have sold 1000 shirts then a) last seasons kit sales was utter shit or b) Not a lot of people buy shirts

If we have sold 15000 shirts then that is almost half of the match day attendees will own one which Is pretty good going if you think about it
