It was telling that they chose models rather than our departing 'star' players for the kit launch

Not quite enough blue in the home shirt for me, but I do like the style of both kits

It's not for me, but then it's not for me anyway as I don't play and I don't buy them.

I will soon be entering a stage when I have to buy one for the boy every year and they better be dramatically different, as it would really tug my boat if we were Leeds and I was spending £50 on the same shirt every year.

Agreed. Best new user name of the year, by the way. Great work!

I like both home and away shirt designs. Sponsors logo too big though which detracts, but I suppose they maximise what they can get away with in terms of the regulations. Assuming shorts and socks are white and blue- these are winners I think. Hopefully the team will be...

Models? I thought it was next year's team.

The new kit takes me back to 1970 when we first dumped our traditional light blue sleeves for an all claret shirt. I could dwell on the fact we got relegated to the third division in that shirt but conversely it was also the start of an incredibly exciting time to be a Villa fan. Like now, we were coming off the back of severe financial problems but the next ten years was a decade of rapid improvement culminating in our huge successes in 1981 and 1982. We have to think positively now and everyone of us, from the owner, the manager to us ordinary fans, have to suck it up and move forward together with the hand we have been dealt. We've done it before and we can do it again.

I quite like both of them but the away is my favourite . If the sleeves had been blue it would have been a really nice home kit but I think it is still ok , I like the collar a lot on both especially the white top.

Hopefully the same design as the home kit but yellow with claret sides.  That would look amazing.

The home kit reminds me so much of the 83/84 version that I half expected Steve McMahon to be modelling it.

When has a yellow kit ever looked amazing? Unless by amazing you mean literally "causing great surprise or wonder; astonishing"

Can't remember the last time I cared what our kit looked like, it was probably when we had a kit that was claret and blue! Thankfully my son stopped wearing football shirts 3 years ago so no longer have that expense.

The yellow and blue kit of the late 60's / early 70's was lovely
