From the official site:

"Fans have discussed the shade of claret featured on previous tops, as they referenced tones that range from pink to purple on message boards and social media.

This has been noted by club officials and we’ve moved to look into the issue, alongside Roper and Fanatics.

We believe, having already done some initial and detailed exploratory work, that the new kit will feature a darker shade – and one seen by our fanbase as a more genuine claret colour."

Yeah I suspect this will mean going a few shades darker than the pantone Edvard posted earlier in the thread.  If you go here - https://www.colorhexa.com/7f1734 - you can get loads of info about it and if you scroll down there's a 'shades and tints' section.  I suspect they'll move 2-3 to the left as those are more like the older kits that people refer back to.

Whilst we are discussing the correct shade of claret, somebody should walk around the ground and ensure that all the paintwork is a consistent claret as well - there must be a dozen different shades on view

'Edvard and the Pantones' were one of the support bands on the recent tour by 'African Car Reverser'

'Hexadecimal color #7f1734' are one of the bands that you'll be watching at that Liverpool festival later this year.

I presume that the club has brand guidelines and its down to them to see fabric samples of any potential kit and agree that the fabric is a good match to the AVFC claret (and blue).

Wasn't our very early kit described as 'chocolate'?

1886 apparently.

I heard a Wispa that we'll see the new kit soon, but they could be telling Yorkies.
