The design from pitch side is fantastic. The design from Trinity Road side is as far removed from what it replaced as it was possible to get.
I hate that block of boxes between the holte and the trinity. Totally fugly. And the imbalance of the terrace rake between the holte and the DE really pisses off my OCD. I really hope that gets sorted.

That's because the Holte was still terracing when the Witton was rebuilt. Plus of course we did it in house and on the cheap. Mmmm asbestos.

I just don't get why when the new holte got built they didn't match the angle to the angle of the DE. But as you point out it was done in house on the cheap.

That terrace rake difference between stands really pisses me off too. Make the Holte single tier (yes I’m flogging that dead horse again) and it would hopefully disappear.

Can’t wait to see Dr T’s ideas for the stadium, hopefully it’s not completely related to gaining promotion, as the in stand space and facilities in pretty much all 4 stands are atrocious.

Are they?

The upper Holte concourse space is huge and spread over two floors. Plenty of bars and toilets too.

If I remember right from the tour of the ground I did with my son a few years back those boxes between the Holte and Trinity were called 'The Sky Lounge' and incorporated a suite and bar area where the real high rollers used to congregate including Lerner and his friends and family.

My first question is a genuine one.

I've been in the Lower Holte for the Inter friendly and it seemed big.

Sat in the upper Witton for a Chelsea game when Nilis scored and it was cramped. Been in the Witton lower when the Dutch played the Swiss but I cannot recall it.

Upper Trinity seemed big and fine, but I genuinely don't really know about elsewhere.

Upper Holte is probably the biggest concourse space in the league.

North Stand lower is ok, upper is crap. All of the Trinity is fine, Lower Holte can be a bit tight when full, upper is great. Only been lower Witton once and can't remember, upper Witton is terrible, must be one of the worst around. Gets regular complaints from away fans but not much we could do as so little space as we couldn't build over Witton Lane.

At one time or another I have been in the top and bottom tiers of all four stands. Although I never went in the old Witton Lane stand before it became 'The Doug' and was too young to even remember the days before the 'new' North stand.

Must admit I don’t think the Upper Trinity is fine, full house and you can hardly move. Upper Witton is really poor and the Lower Holte in a full house just doesn’t have the facilities to cope with the Holte Suite encroaching into the space available.

Upper Holte is probably the biggest concourse space in the league.

I feel dirty saying this but due to family connections I was in the Hawthorns on Boxing Day and absolutely no idea what stand I was in (the one opposite the tunnel) and the concourse there was massive. Quite ironic given how few fans they've got, but it put the Lower Holte to shame in that respect.

I've moved from Upper Trinity to middle in recent years and the concourse space in the middle (which is actually at ground level) is miles better than the upper. There's shed loads of space.

Is there a reason for not releasing details of the plans?
