Last season 80 points was enough for the play offs. Bruce needs to steady the ship if we’re going to achieve that.

I hate that we desperately sacrifice our midfield for a load of bollocks strikers. Just shite tactics. Well done Bolton. Grr.

I posted this at Lunchtime:

This thread is way more pessimistic than it should be imo
Granted they have good home form but only won 1/8

Back on track Villa, come on

Yup. We only struggle against the teams that can play football. I can't see Bolton outplaying us today. It will be a fight but we should have too much for them. A very handsome Villa win today and we're all left to wonder how we managed to lose to QPR. 5-0 Villa

We struggle defending set pieces.

Saw Bolton a fair bit in league one last year and they scored a fair few from corners, David Wheater (remember him) scored about 10 for them.

They will target Johnstone and also Bree given he's out of position and not the biggest.

If I can see it, SB surely can see it?!

The match I was dreading, Bolton nick one from a set piece and then stick men behind the ball and we don't have a clue how to break it down.

Not good. Automatic promotion is over.

If we don't sort out our defending from corners (Johnstone come off your line and actually catch it!) Boro will be looking forward to seeing us.

It’s not Bruce’s fault that Bjarnason went to sleep

Going on a winning run, followed by a losing run is what we've done regularly under Bruce. The only hope now is that we are in one of our good runs by the end of the season going into the play offs.

The most dissapointing thing is we have since this type of defeat way to many times under Bruce.

A resounding boo. Not a very good performance. At all.

Boooooooooo

Fucking shit. No fight. No tactics. No plan. Out fought, out thought and deservedly beaten. Going up? With Bruce in charge? We'd get fucked every week.

Just when we were in desperate need of a reaction after Tuesday's debacle, we end up bottling it.

Piss poor.

Can't believe the contrast between last Saturday and this evening.

Not much to say really. Bolton did a job on us and roughed us up. We all know the limitations of a Bruce side but i guess we'll have to add soft touches to the list. Only 1 team really wanted that result i'm afraid. Well done to Neil Warnock........

Deserved nothing but the weather fucked us again as the footballing side.

Pathetic tactics towards the end. The four forwards hardly had a touch.

Crap decision making, leading to hoofball. Nil points from two gimme games. Forget automatic promotion, it's gone. We can only hope to gain a bit of momentum in time for the play offs, if we get there!!

Second time in a week we've gotten dicked by a team we should be playing off the pitch.

I can take losing, everyone loses now and again, it's the not looking remotely competitive against teams floating around the arse end of the league like turds that won't flush that gets to me.

D- not acceptable.

The wheels have well and truly come off the juggernaut this week
Unbelievable until you realise you are talking about the Villa
For us "old uns it's like a 're- run of watching the club over the last 50+ years -  I feel for my son's'generation
Once again he looks me in the eye and says
" we really are shit aren't we?"
Hard to argue
