Staying over for this one so any recommendations for decent boozers, preferably non chain and little chance of listening to ‘My old man’ every five minutes?

I'm meeting some Villa fans in the Barnstormers Inn on Lostock Lane. No idea what it's like but I checked on t'interweb and it seems okay.
