A British woman won the 60m race last year and is in it again this year I believe.

Katrina Johnson-Thompson is second in the pentathlon after three events but just 13 points with two of her stronger events to come - long jump and 800m.

Crazy amount of Athletes disqualified! 800m mens result a farce.

British officials got the result correct. It was the Portugese international official who made it a farce. First saying Ok then Dq’d USA who won their appeal. If result had been clear at first then GB could have appealed instead, might then have had a chance to win appeal.

Lifts stopped working after a pipe burst when it started to thaw. Athletes had to climb 5 flights of stairs to get from warm up area to track. Lots of problems behind the scenes but we coped with it all.

Did you know that the IAAF uses a "placing table" in addition to the medals table? Here's how Great Britain fared in the placings table....  We need to stop just focusing on Gold, Silver and Bronze when it isn't the Olympics. Many other sports use more than the top 3 rankings to measure success......

Two world records were broken at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Athletics Championships:

Men's 400m: Michael Norman, University of Southern California 44.52
Men's 4 x 400m: Texas A&M University 3:01.39*

* In this race the University of Southern California actually had a faster time (3:00.77) but world records can only be awarded if all runners are from the same nation - USC had a runner from Antiqua and 3 Americans.

Not much talk on here but I think Dina Asher-Smith deserves a mention (and will surely be a nominee for SPOTY) 2 individual golds (both with new British records) and a stunning anchor leg in the relay. Her records are also the best times in 2018 in each event.  Given she's still only 22 I think she could go on to be a very special athlete.

Laura Muir was fucking brilliant as well, it's takes some guts to take control of a race like that.
