Can't see us winning now. We won't declare where there is even a 2% chance of them chasing it down.

We should be level on points with Kent moving into the final match against them. They'll be above us by virtue of having won more matches. So the winner wins the league. If it's a draw or a tie, whoever gets more bonus points wins. If it's a draw or a tie and we get the same number of bonus points, Kent win it the title.

Depends how we go today really.  55 from 14.4 doesn't suggest we're going to be timid so a lead of 250+ by the end of play is likely. Add another 100 tomorrow morning and you'd be fairly confident they won't chase 350 in 2 sessions and if they try it gives us more chance of taking the 10 wickets.Once we're 250-300 up I'd be tempted to tell them to start slogging and push it as high as possible though. I'd want 2 sessions to bowl them though because they have a decent middle and lower order.

They would have to go for 350 off two sessions, a draw is pointless to them. It would be very unlikely, but I'd rather not taking even the slightest chance. Winning promotion is the priority, the title is just a bit of icing.

Yep, no point in taking even the slightest risk.  Even with a draw, beating Kent at home would secure the title.

100/0 27.1
Sibley 28 & Rhodes 64

This follows on from a 96 partnership in first innings
104/0 now Sibley up to 32 Lead 201

Anyone know admission costs to go down to Edgbaston just for the day?

They've definitely settled now, they've had a few innings recently where they've stuck around to see off the new ball and then this game they've added big runs as well, it's a good sign, I think we've got a good pairing here but I'm worried that Rhodes might have snuck onto the England radar, would be typical for us to find a solid pair at the top after a few years of struggling only to see them get broken up.

Draw will give us a 3 point lead over Kent. Produce a batting wicket and let Trott finish with a ton on his last game at home.

Withe current bonus points we have 214 (Kent are 219) a draw is 5 more points and would put us level. To get 8 points (and a 3 point lead) we'd need a tie, which means we bowl them out whilst the scores are level, which is highly unlikely from here.

That must be the lowest ever batting points total at 16 that Kent have mustered, and in line for the title. Should be some clash at Edgbaston ! COYB!!

I've a couple of free passes left that someone can have but would have to fetch from Selly Oak

141/0 40 overs 13 left or are there just gone off for bad light although umpires have stayed out there.
Sibley 43 & Rhodes 76 so a healthy lead of 238

Umpires have now disappeared from the wicket and have had the covers brought out and lined up ready to cover the
wicket if the need arises. So not sure whether we'll see any further play which, with these 13 overs potentially lost makes the draw the favoured
result now.

We also finish above them if we draw or tie against them but get more bonus points than they do.
