Stupid decision to start the season so early in April. At least leave it a further week or better still, the end of April.

It hasn't rained at all today. If we hadn't made the stupid decision to get rid of the Brumbrella we could have had a full day's play.

Not really, most years we get decent weather in April and then it pisses down in August.

New season but same old Bears.

139-5 off 40 overs, with Bell 66 not out. A new signing called “Extras” is second highest scorer with 31.

Good recovery to 284 for 9 at close,. Ambrose not out 76, he and Wright have put on 62 for the last wicket.

If you look at the other scores around the country 284 seems like 400 !

Brilliant bowling from Oli Stone! Sussex 170-6. Looks like the weather will save them! Typical Bears luck! I have a feeling England will come knocking for Oli if he keeps this up....a genuine 90mph+ bowler.

Really let Sussex off the hook there as they went on to make 374.  Attack looks a seam bowler short to me, if only we had an international quality one who could bat quite high up the order as well!!

Hasn't rained the last two days but complete washout at Headingley. At least the weather will be good for the countless whack it as hard and as far as you can matches no doubt.

Cheap Worcestershire. Other counties sign Morne fecking Morkel and we go for Magoffin. Carrying players like Rhodes and Dolly just because of who their relatives were.  Capitulation with the bat yet again at this level, just like the last time when we embarrassed ourselves. Cheap in house promotion for Sharp too, instead of going for Gillespie or the likes. (I know, no-one cares!)

They're punching above their weight as it is. You can't expect a county that never hosts an international, and is usually flooded for a month every year, to be able to compete financially with Test ground teams.

You have to persuade players to sign though & that takes £’s - it was obvious that Worcester need at least one more ‘proper’ batsman but the likes of Northeast who we were supposed to have been chasing in the winter are always going to go to the counties with the money.

Magoffin is a steady player if he stays fit, don’t think bowling will be the issue, getting 400 on the board will be.
