Booing.
« on: February 21, 2018, 10:21:15 PM »
A bloke at work reckons his mate told him we were booing Bruce at the final whistle last night. I told him I’d read loads of post-match comments and no-one mentioned it. Is his mate full of shit or did I put too much faith in H&V’s match-going massive?

Please help settle this disagreement if you can, ta.

There were a smattering of boos at the result, more so at half time. It was frustration at the performance I'd say, not necessarily booing Bruce.

The boos at half time pissed me off. Yes we were terrible but the players need the support sometimes. The ground was silent first half, the crowd offered no support and there was zero atmosphere.

You didn't think much of the crowd, QV?!

I personally think they should all write the club a letter of apology.

"Please accept our humble apologies for booing last night and not being supportive enough. Please also accept our apologies for only taking 5000 to Sheffield Wednesday when Leeds would have taken 250k and occupied the city for four and a bit years. Like the Germans did to Paris in the war."

Thanks lads. Obviously I’d have known myself were I not on 2-10 shift, erm... Tom.

(Not at the Rover though as I took my redundancy in 2000).

Pretty sure I saw you in Touchwood during the match, Percy. You were wearing a Bronx hat. I was, err, on my way down the Rover.

You may mock, but some of my b-loser mates haven’t been since we took our redundancies. Apart from the half-a-million who went to Bruges obvs.

There was no booing at the final whistle. There was booing at HT and I think understandable as up to then it was a terrible performance. I don't boo but fans have a right to do so if they are not pleased with  the team. Fans pay with money, time and sometimes considerable disruption to their day to be at the match.

Didn't hear any real booing at full-time, but there was at half-time.  As others have said, it seemed more out of general frustration than aimed at any particular individual.

I didn't hear any booing at full time either. Not sure what QV is on about.

There were murmurings coming out of the Upper Holte - you could hear them in the Lower but they weren't particularly loud.  Unlike at half time.

I know he is somewhat obsessed.  But in isolation it is difficult to dispute that particular post.
