Three defensive midfielders in the team with another two on the bench. As you say, Dave, looks unnecessarily defensive.

Positively McLeishian.

It will be 4141 with Snoddy and Elmo wide and Thor inside with Connor.

Thor playing in his natural position for the first time. Axel's pace will be handy.

I see only one defensive midfielder; Jedinak. Axel is a centre half who can play full back of midfield. Thor is an attacking central midfielder who we've shoe horned into defensive midfield, full back and wide before.

I hope the confidence that the team has flowing through them gives them the belief that they can win this game irrespective of who is in the line up. Also that Bruce is sending out Hourihane, Bjarnason and Snodgrass as attacking players with Jedinak and AT behind them.

Green would've offered width and pace - at least as an option off the bench....

Bruce wonders why he gets the stick ....... we have no real idea how we will line up today ......surely the simple answer would have been Green for Albert and Josh for Jack but no we seem to wish to move around half the team
Always a tough one today looks even harder now

Looks like we are going for the draw or narrow loss.

Go for it team Villa!

Both out injured?

Nah, dropped for their part in the first goal against Blose ;)

Green was diabolical against Peterborough, which is fairly obvious explanation for why he's not been included recently.

We're all naturally concerned but I suppose the retort to that would be lets see exactly how we set up and play. But it is something in him to be cautious when in truth he has the options not to be. And he might look at a draw as a great result in the grand scheme of things given the gap to Fulham and the games we've got coming up.

With our two most attacking/creative midfielders out I’m not too sure who there is to come in as replacements? Green keeps getting mentioned but he must be either injured or not doing whatever it is they need to do to make the team.

I do hope he's not playing Bjarnason in Albert's attacking spot, because every time he has played there he has been chuffing awful.

Not a great line up.

Still, let's win.

If we are confused by this team sheet imagine what it must be like for the opposition.

Hope our players know what they are supposed to be doing.

mmmmmm

1-0 to Fulham I'm afraid because if we give a goal away I struggle to see how we will pull it back

I can't recall him playing in central midfield.
