Aston Villa 3-2 Burton Albion Post Match Thread
« on: February 03, 2018, 04:54:58 PM »
Fuck me. Nearly an utter disaster. The scoreline tells the story versus the bottom placed team. We were very poor much of the time today. Burton had lots of the ball, looked dangerous throughout and arguably the better side in the opening 20 min of first half.

Not our best performance by any stretch but we won the game. Still six straight wins and onto the game versus the Noses who will be confident coming off 2 straight wins themselves and unbeaten in 4. Won’t be easy.

Delighted for Jack. Great goal.

A win is a win, and a 6th win at that, but bloody hell that was unnecessarily hard work.

A win is a win but the arrogant pre match predictions by some were proven slightly optimistic!

Yep please everyone stop predicting 5-0 just because we did it on NYD.

It wasn't close to happening today and it won't be happening next week either.

SHA are picking up now so not sure we'll win next week given the defensive issues today.

Too many players well below par today.  Elmo, Hourihane and even Albert, despite the goal.

Yes exactly nothing wrong with optimism at all. But those comments were boadering on arrogance and it's ridiculous.

Again play like we did today next Sunday and it will end far worse than it did today. Need to really buck their ideas up.

Didn't see any of the match but delighted with another win, it's not a bad habit to have.

I'm comfortable with it.

I'm happier with five attacking players on the pitch and scoring, even if we let in a couple of silly goals here and there. Compared to the insipid, overly defensive stuff from earlier in the season.

There'll probably be a game we draw or lose at some point because of recklessness, but there'll be plenty more wins because we're not being held back by the likes of Whelan and Taylor.

Keep it up.
