It might well be fine for you. However, for me, I find it disappointing given our league position.

I haven't just fallen out of the sky. I am fully aware of all of the cons that a midweek trip to Sunderland would bring. The fact remains that we've shown that we can take 3,000+ away in midweek as recently as last season with the trips to Brighton and Barnsley. All the cons in the world would not stop a football fan travelling if (s)he really wanted to.

I can't help but feel if Sunderland, Leeds or even Sheffield Wednesday were in our position, they would sell out a 3,000 allocation that is 200 miles away.

It's absolutely fine. It's a Tuesday night, there's money to be found for tickets and travel and time off work has to be booked plus the added fact of not getting back until half one-two in the morning and having to get up for work 4 hours later so if we don't sell what we normally for me it's not a problem in the slightest.

We're selling out nearly every away game - People seem to be finding the money for tickets and travel easily enough. I can't imagine many people would miss a Villa game on the basis that it meant a late night. I'll give you time off work being a factor but as stated previously, it wasn't a problem for Brighton and Barnsley last season.

I haven't said that it will be a problem if we don't sell out. I simply stated I will be disappointed if we don't. Why are you continuing with this? You have your opinion and I have mine - We're never going to change each others are we?

You've not upset me. I'm just curious as to why you're disappointed we've not sold out yet despite them being on sale for an age. Or likely to sell out apparently with the game a month away.

Maybe we will, maybe we won't.

I take that as a no then. Part timer. Leeds would have taken more.

Mate - I'm not really sure why this has developed into such a big thing. I made what I thought was a completely innocent and innocuous remark about being disappointed if we fail to sell out. I agreed with you that we should wait and see whether we do or not. If we do then great, if we don't then I'll be disappointed (as I am on every occasion that we fail to sell out).

I'm not claiming to be a superfan and don't do every away game. This doesn't stop me being disappointed when we don't sell out though.

With regards Sunderland tickets, no I haven't bought mine yet. I don't even know who I'm going with at this stage because the guys I usually go with aren't going to this one. I will make a decision on who I go with on Sunday at the Blues game and get my Sunderland ticket with them on Monday.

No. If you're disappointed then fine. I won't be disappointed in the slightest and that's fine as well.

Peter - Not only are you not butting in on anything but even if you were, there would be no need to apologise.

However, I would urge you not to use another person's client reference for this game. There is no need whatsoever to do so. Sheffield Wednesday, which is a Saturday, half the distance of Sunderland has tickets available to season ticket holders with no previous away games - Sunderland will do so as well and probably go to non-Season ticket holders.

All you are doing by using someone else's client reference is boosting up their history, to give them an unfair advantage over genuine travelers when tickets become more difficult to come by.

I'm delighted for you.

Meanwhile, back on topic, just over 1,000 sold with just under a month until the game is played isn't bad going. Fingers crossed we can sell another 2,000
