Decent bit of work by Bruce to bring Grabban on board - I like his confidence - shame we didn't have him at the start of the season -  would like to keep him for next season wherever we are

Just noted Ramadan starts 15th May - hope this doesn't have any effect on his stamina levels

I think he's the best, most complete striker we've had in ages.  He held the ball up brilliantly by himself today, then when Hogan came on, he shifted out wide.  And of course he scored two very good goals.

He looks every bit the £12m striker that Hogan doesn't.

Just in case I haven't made my position and views clear, I think Hogan is shit. No really, I do.  He came on today, stood between their two central defenders for 25 minutes, then when he did get a chance on a plate, he skied it over the bar.  Absolute rubbish.

But he does run around with purpose like he’s going to do something soon.

He didn't today.  He hung around their goal like I do after 50 minutes of five aside football and I'm breathing out of my arse.

We've proved to be at our best when playing to Hogan's strengths. Only with Grabban in for Hogan.

I have to think he's been looking for a home where he "fits". Maybe it's us, and he'll be happy, fruitful and successful.

Well, until we get someone better, obvs.

I like Hogan. He seems to have the right attitude and there is a decent player there.

I don't dislike Hogan but there is a gulf in class between him and Grabban.

He's doing a very good job at convincing us to sign him permanently.

Problem is, he's giving Bournemouth a very good reason to charge a premium for him.

When you see the transfer fees paid for the likes of Kodjia, Hogan and even Assumabongface at Boro in recent years, why should a player who has had more than once decent season at this level go for drastically less?

Difference is he's 30 and only as 18 months left on his contract so you assume he'd be cheaper. The others you mention were all mid 20s or younger. What would concern me about signing him is why has he gone through so many clubs, we're his 13th club if you include loans and playing for Bournemouth twice. That's some going. Then again i'm probably just wary of us being stuck with another expensive misfit striker.

Blimey he’s 30, didn’t realise that. Not worth paying through the nose then. Good player

If we'd had Grabban from the start of the season I think we'd have been in the top 2. He scored a lot for a struggling team before that, and offers more than Hogan. People go on about not playing to Hogan's strengths, but since he's been here, he is yet to show what those really are.
