The answer to our rested players (due to promotion ambitions) v momentum (via a thumping cup win) are about to be answered.

0-0

That word 'momentum' has been bandied around a lot this week. The last time it got a mention was after we got knocked out of the League Cup. After that we won our next three league games and got 25 points from eleven. I make that our best run for nigh on a decade.

Given that the train station is on fire, I'm assuming there will be replacement bus service for this one. What's the nearest station, Derby?

Some trains stop at Beeston which is the station before Nottingham. Doesn't look good though. Hopefully no-one got caught up in it.

I'd go with the following;

Johnstone

Hutton
Terry
Chester
Elmo

Jedinak

Adomah
Hourihane
Grealish
Snodgrass

Hogan

Discipline needed from Jedinak, but that midfield four is to press and flood the box. Ball has to.move at pace.

I feel like we're at the Rubicon here. If we can roll the dice and get at them as we did in Bristol, but with all the defensive knowhow and game management we had at Boro, we will go on a roll that will hopefully see us promoted.

There's a habit of putting an emphasis on games, but it feels like a bellwether game. I don't think Bristol is a one off. The balance and quality of that side, armed with confidence and purpose is an irrisestable force.

Smash these east Midlands wrong-uns Villa. Smash them.

I would start with Elphick ahead of Terry in this game with Terry on the bench. He didn't show the level of fitness required for such an important game, in the FA cup match last weekend.
Come on Villa boys, bring home the 3 points UTV!

No trains at Nottingham until further notice
Emergency services are dealing with a fire incident at Nottingham, causing major disruption to trains at the station. At present, the station has been evacuated and emergency services are on site. Whilst the station remains closed, no trains will be able to run to or from the station.

-Trains from London St Pancras International will terminate at East Midlands Parkway

-Trains from Cardiff Central / Birmingham New Street will terminate at Derby

-Trains from Matlock will terminate at Derby

There are buses from Derby to Nottingham. The only question is if they will add extra buses to accommodate as it may be impossible to get on a bus otherwise.

JT won't play if he's rolled his ankle. MJ a doubt which will be a blow, hopefully he's fine. As expected, Hogan returns and has trained all week.

Ah bollocks.  If Terry & Jedi don't play I think this will be a difficult one.

Beeston is quite a way from the ground.

It will be tight, though I've gone for a nervy villa 1-nil win.

The Arsenal game, well Forest were playing against something that didnt resemble the normal Arsenal team. Its not to say that they wont be playing with a bit more confidence, but we need to hassle them for 90 mins.

Don't worry everyone - I've put a fiver on a Forest win so we should win handsomely!

If we approach the game in the same way as we did for the last 70minutes agains Bristol then we should be okay for the win. Can't see it happening though.  I think it will be a draw.
