We have just been informed that Villa's 1957 FA Cup final keeper Nigel Sims has passed away. RIP Nigel.

saw Nigel at Highbury in 1962 i think, my first game and I think we lost 5-4.  Wonderful memories of him.

That is really sad, worked with his son years ago and he showed me his FA Cup medal. RIP

What a solid keeper was Nigel, I can still smell the embrocation which was plastered on his jersey
when I was standing behind Holte end goal.

I've seen Peter a couple of times this season at the ground and he looks very good for his age.

It was either he or Geoff Sidebottom in goal when I first started going, so another part of my youth goes.
