Bodymoor Heath.
« on: December 07, 2017, 11:20:25 PM »
Looks like we might be moving as it seems HS2 will take more of the site than assumed.

Should we move our training ground more to the M42 corridor of Warwickshire so we could feasibly attract higher calibre players who might be reluctant to relocate to the Midlands.

Sign of the times but many of them want to be as close to London as possible or in the North West.

Or just stay at Bodymoor, get some extra dosh from the Government and build a few more pitches the other side of the road or wherever they're considering.

Keep it. The players can practice passing to each other accurately over the trains. A chip from one side of an embankment to another should be perfect for Kodjia to run on to.

Seriously if you're picking up what our top earners are, then the cost or time from manchester or london shouldn't really come into it.

On the plus side having a train run through the side of pitch occasionally might improve our throw in speed. The current "wait.. wait.. wait.. throw it to the opposition" plan really isn't working for me.

I note with interest that the Vila Engine has not been mentioned for a while.

Would there be a compulsory purchase of Bodymoor Heath for HS2?  That land must be worth a few quid?

Can't see it happening but I would love us to reclaim several acres of currently derelict land in Nechells or Aston to have our training ground more accessible and in our heartland.
