Davis and Onomah very poor. Games like today you really want a striker on the bench

Give them a break they are both teenagers!

He needs to work out an alternative for Davis, he needs a rest.

I reckon Boro and Derby are harder games, Leeds are crap at the moment. 7 defeats in 10 before tonight and despite how woeful we were before the subs they only managed 1 shot on target.

Great result considering my fears and the first half.
Pretty? Nope. Effective? absolutely.
I thought Whelan was immense. Results like this are what get you up, go to difficult places and get something.

We are a club in recovery and I see the signs in every game.

Hutton the stand out for me. Roofe will be having nightmares about being threatened by a tattooed Scottish psychopath for some time.

Shit performance till the subs came on. Came for a draw so Nan's hair must be chuffed, but shows we could have blown them away if he fielded a team that actually aims to win.  7 points off the top 2 now, so we better hope we don't slip up in the home games this month or Bruce's safety first tactics will be in tatters.

Came for a draw and doesn't send out teams that aims to win? Think I'll disagree with that. Better second half deserved a point.

nah his usual cowardly tactics in the first half. credit that he actually changed it for once with the subs but they were all over the place once the subs were on. They're not very good and we should have done them if he had any ambition

Great subs great result and we look resilient now. Beat Millwall and things look really good. Jack needs to start over Onomah and Davis needs a break. Arguably first thing positive Lansbury had done in a Villa shirt. Full backs great as well.

I said a point before the game would have been a good result all things considered...and it's even more so given how poor we were in the first half. A point gained rather than 2 points lost.

Davis is a worry, kid needs rest now and again but hard to see how we can do it.

I think the halftime rocket might have been from JT. Whoever, it worked.

Bruce triggered a response second half after we have been second best to everything. Players put their foot in and upset their rhythm which saw us begin to dominate. You can't complain about a point at Elland Road. Yes we may have lost ground this weekend but in the shake up that will be a decent result. We still have Cardiff, Wolves, Bristol, Leeds at home and are still yet to play Sheffield and Derby. Still very much in our hands and we don't look like losing anymore. It's a difficult month ahead and so long as we're in touching distance of the top 2 then I can only see us being stronger in the second half of the season. Should either Sheffield or Cardiff get an injury list like ours they will drop like a stone.

Absolutely. I wasn’t criticising their effort or quality. They just didn’t play well. It will happen again. Grealish replaced Onomah and made a real difference. If we could have brought a dangerous striker in for Davis I think we could have won

Boro are shit at home. Derby do look a danger at the moment though.
