Will his previous employer give him a good reference?

My mistake, thought he was banned only from European competitions, but would cover championship as well.

Forget it. We've had our fair share of players that can't discipline themselves.

Is he any good these days? At football I mean? I honestly don't know how he has been when playing for Marseille.

He can't get in the team ahead of a player most on here were glad to see leave Villa. I don't really think he would improve us.

I do have a modicum of sympathy in this case, though. While you can't excuse his actions, it should be said that those running down to the pitch to scream abuse at their own players before the match had even kicked off are a massive bunch of twats.

I don't know about that. The year we went down I could have run down to scream abuse at our lot before every home game, f**ked off  before kick off and enjoyed the rest of my day.

didnt he also have a blow out with someone at a world cup who used to be employed at Villa during the Garde era? Or did I dream that?

I think he was a big part of a revolt of French players at a world cup and I also seem to recall him kicking off with a groundman during a warm down at Stamford Bridge once.
