Who would have thought Hutton would turn into Phillip Lahm when he went to left back. Incredible, he looks miles more comfortable than at right back.
I think it becomes awkward for the opposite player when he has the ball and it's also easier for him to tackle coming inside when most wide players cut in nowadays too.

Because he's not comfy with his left foot he's not bombing forward and making mistakes in the final 3rd and getting caught out up field.  When he stays back and just gets on with defending he's fine.

He does. It’s quite bizarre. Very comfortable for some odd reason.

I'm right footed and played down the left for years, but I always preferred being out on the right.

Johnstone - nothing to do.
Defence and Whelan - excellent.
Other 4 midfielders - all had their good moments but hit and miss.
Davis - Another decent display considering his age.
Preston - shite but at least we're not missing opportunities to capitalise.
Penalty - definitely but we'll take a bit of luck, it balances out.

He did bomb forward a few times at the start of the first half.

Best I’ve seen us under Bruce so far

Must be ok if your saying that John!

you can only say what you see and we’ve been on the front foot from the off and are in control in every area on the pitch

Now I think about it, it actually makes quite a lot of sense. He likes to cut inside off the line quite a lot, he'd do it at RB and then find himself on his left and struggle with the end product.

He does this now from LB, uses his pace and is able to produce a bit more quality.

Yes but I’m talking about a person who at times looks like he was pulled from a pub to play or won a competition. I have no doubt you by comparison are a fine footballer.

Burton away for me.

Much better tonight considering the opposition though.
Suppose.

Indeed, but nothing like as much as he does on the right.
