Really could do with a win
Quite a few choices to make for first time in a while:
Taylor back?
Jedinak to start?
Who alongside him?
Snodgrass rested?
Hogan or Onomah?
O'Hare or Grealish on the bench?
I think we need a combo of physical strength and going for the jugular. The easy thing to say is that means 442. But that's not always the case.
I'd definitely have at least one of O'Hare and grealish on the bench, replacing Thor and Kodjia in the squad
Who is not fit.

Now she’s a woman Who wouldn’t be eligible to play anyway.

I liked how we looked when Jedinak came on against the filth, I'd go:

0-2 or 1-3.

It is true that they have some issues with their defence at the moment, but I'm not sure how people are coming up with the idea that they are in such a terrible run of form. Last weekend's result was a bad one, but the weekend before they lost at Woves by a smaller margin and with a much better performance than we put up there.
Prior to that - a draw away at Fulham and, during the previous month a good win at Blues, and a 3 goal win over Cardiff. Although, a draw at home to Sunderland was disappointing.
I have seen them live a couple of times and they have a distinct style of play, good team spirit, and attack quickly. I'd expect them to be coming out fighting on the back of 2 straight defeats that've dropped them out of the playoff places, especially against us, as its a 6 pointer in that respect.

Overall, they've dropped a few points in a disappointing fashion recently, but haven't we all? Same as last season - don't underestimate #teamslikepreston

Last season they ran and kicked us off the park. It was embarrassing.

We need to match their commitment and have Davis cause havoc amongst their make shift back four. They're conceding very soft goals of late and injuries should amplify this.

I’d like us to go hell for leather and stick 6 past them.  But I can see a draw and we go again with Bruce.

Sounds like they have half of their Defence out injured and their captain is suspended.

I wonder if he will stick with Hutton? Apart from that yes I see that team. Wouldn't mind Lansbury in for Whelan.

That Pearson in the middle is a niggly fecker but a good midfield player. Same for Daniel Johnson who'll be up for it as will Robinson if he gets a start.

PNE had a fantastic start to the season but defensively they've struggled recently and as others have said will have a very makeshift defence out tomorrow.

Won't be straightforward of course as we're not a team that attempts to play on the front foot for large spells of games. PNE have also scored 8 goals in their last 4 so another test for our defence which is looking rock solid now.

I'll go for a narrow 1-2 win.

Aye, I would go with Hutton. Maybe even start Snodgrass as well.

Last night's results give this game more significance, with Sheff Utd and Leeds losing and Derby and Boro winning.
I'd be disappointed to see both Whelan and Jedi starting because it would signal a draw-intent. get some youth alongside Jedi to start ...

Preston have been scoring and conceding a lot. Think they've scored 2 in 5 of their last 7. But also conceded at least 2 several times of late

I think that team line up above looks solid, but very one paced in central midfield. If he does pair Jedinak and Whelan I'd have thought Onomah would play the 10 role

I reckon he could play Elmo right mid and rest Snodgrass

Yeah I think four centre halves injured

We must avoid sitting back too much. Maybe Onomah and hourihane breaking to support Davis would work

This for me...the results at the weekend gave us the opportunity to make some ground with a win but also meant that a draw wasn't the end of the world - we need to match the pacesetters wins last night tonight so we stay ahead of Derby and Boro as well, so it is a bit of a must win I think.
