Put the opposition under pressure like we did on Saturday and we win. Sit back and invite pressure then we give them the game they want.

I would make a couple of changes from Saturday for our trip across the city.  I would go with a three man midfield with Onomah dropping a bit deeper alongside Hourihane and Whelan just in front of the back four.  They are quite direct so we might need someone sitting in front of the defence and might have even gone for Jedinak if he was match fit.

Horses for courses selection, but I would bring Davis in for Kodjia as well.  Kodjia got bullied there last season and spent most of the game on the floor.  Davis is far more of a physical presence and I would definitely start him.  Adomah definitely plays at the moment for me, so it would be between Snodgrass and Kodjia for the remaining wide spot.

Whenever we try to sit back away from home, we fuck it up.

Attack the bastards.

Small Heath 1
(Adams 37)

Villa 6
(Snodgrass 12, Kodjia 43, 88, 90, Adomah 48, Hourihane 85).

I have a good feeling about this one, they are due a tonking from us and I think they will get one.

7-0 Terry, Kodjia, Adoma hattrick, and two late goals from Gabby when he comes on as a substitute.

Get into them and f**k them off

I think if we take the game to them then there's no reason we can't win this one. We're the Villa and they're the unmentionables. The footballing equivalent of the Scottish play being mentioned in theatre.

surely we are going to drag Gabby back for this one, regardless of injury or not.

Isn't that the law ?

Wouldn't be the worst idea to have him on the bench. Even if it's to use him as a lightning rod for abuse every time he warms up – takes a bit of pressure off the team on the pitch.

1-1 same as last year as Bruce loses his bottle. Snodgrass for us, same bloke I've probably never heard of soon to have a 'Legends Lounge' named in his honour for them.
