Dave .perhaps instead of saying that average players look unbeatable we could change it to an average manager looks unbeatable. ..just saying.

All seems about right to me, at the moment Bruce is doing what I expected, winning ugly, making it look more difficult than it should be but getting the points on the board, this is what we should've been getting from him 10 months ago.  If he can keep us ticking along at something around 2 points per game then he keeps the job and we end up where we want to be and the complaints about style of play and how we'll adapt to the premier league can wait.

As always it's in his own hands now to find a way to keep this going.

Don't necessarily think it is average players playing well more a case of some very good players coached and prepared by a very average Manager and coaching team

What I meant was that winning a few games can turn average players into worldbeaters.

In glorious fence-sitting tradition there are two ways I look at this. Mr Woodhall has gone on a run of very good reviews because very good players are turning a good reviewer into a world beating reviewer or an average manager is turning a world beating reviewer into a very good reviewer.
