This will be much tougher than we think.  I have to say what Clough has done at Burton has been incredible.  They lost their main signing before the start of the season.  And they always piss all over SHA.  So 1-1 will be a goodish result to keep the run going.

Can I ask a serious question.

To those saying a draw away against Burton is a good result, who exactly do you think we should be expected to beat away from home?

I take your point but I think our lack of bravado is down to them being pretty solid at home.

Yes it is a fair point and really we should expect to win.  However, we have been shit beyond belief for several years.  It's just possible that the tanker of ineptitude is just about slowing down and maybe even turning round.  In that context not losing and keeping the very tentative recovery just about on track (and our unbeaten run going) could be considered a reasonably good result.

Draw would be a bad result. We just had two shit draws, and had we won Brentford, Boro or both then a draw might not be as bad in that context. As it is we have to beat the likes of Burton and Bolton if we truly want to close the gap on the three. Anything less will be a huge disappointment.

Games like this can be tougher than they should be. Tiny ground, their players and fans up for it etc. I'd be disappointed with dropping points obviously but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Tough game this - they may be a small name, but have proven this season already they are no mugs at home, and we will be one of their biggest games all season - they will be right up for it. We will have to weather their energy and enthusiasm and then when the chances come, show our class. I hope we win it, but don't think a draw would be a terrible result particularly if we then turn Bolton over Saturday (as we must at home) - will leave us well positioned.

We have a lot of ground to make up so need the win. We will have a number of players unable to make the match day 18 who would walk into most sides in the division including Burton hence we ought put these away fairly comfortably.

Echoing many, we should be winning this sort of game if we want promotion.

Have to say I think Clough jnr does a decent job wherever he goes.
There was a time where I thought he'd be ideal for us, but, like his dad, he seems better at a smaller club

If we accept failing to win games like this, then we can write off automatic promotion.

It's early days but, already, Burton are;

19th in the division
16th worst team at home
20th worst offensive team
20th worst defensive team

Accept a non win here and you might as well accept we were not going up this season.

We simply can not keep drawing these types of games, if we want to get back to the PL.
