Loanwatch 2017/18

https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2017/08/24/toner-moves-to-stevenage

Quote from: Pravda
Kevin Toner has joined Stevenage Borough on a season-long loan.

Toner moves to Broadhall Way to link up with Darren Sarll’s League Two side.

The 21-year-old, who joined our academy in 2012, has enjoyed previous loan spells with Kidderminster Harriers, Walsall and Bradford City.

He made his senior claret and blue debut at Southampton in April 2016 before his first start a week later at Watford.

Good luck this season, Kevin.

Good luck to him.  He has not been the luckiest of young players.

Aye good luck to him. Maybe more playtime can help him develop or give him confidence. I am skeptical but he is an easy man to like, I certainly wish him well.

With Amavi having gone on loan to Marseille a few weeks ago and Goalkeeperini already at Atalanta, I think that's everybody at the moment

GG is secure in his status as a Villa legend.  Best Villa song ever.

Anyone keeping tabs on how our leased-out lot are doing? Gardner wasn't involved in Barnsley's win at Millwall yesterday, injured maybe? I saw Veretout was on the scoresheet for Fiorentina recently but that aside, no idea. Ditto Tshibola, Gil and whoever else.

Veretout is no longer one of the leased out lot - he's Fiorentina's player now.

Gardner has played 67 minutes for Barnsley, not injured as far as I can see.
Gil, last I heard was he had a bad hamstring injury and hasn't featured and last season they made him play with injections rather than have an Operation.
Tshibola is a regular for MK but the local media ran a piece on him a few days ago highlighting that he hasn't stood out and that he hasn't made much impact.
Amavi  has just broke in to the team and played the last few games.
Gollini can't get in the Atalanta side.
Toner has played two full games but been on the bench for the last few.
Sarkic is on the bench for Wigan.
McCormack is swigging castlemaine xxxx.

All in all, pretty rubbish.

Cheers for that - not exactly inspiring for us or them.

Gollini was on the bench tonight for Atalanta against Juve. Is he their Europa league keeper?

Haven't seen Gil at all for Depor.

Amavi played tonight for Marseille. They won 4-2 at Nice. He was booked.

Toner is shite.

McCormack has finished his fifth can of castlemaine xxxxx and is now sobering up on Fosters (even though no one in Aussie land has every tasted a drop of Fosters).
