Quote from: Pravda
Details of the ticketing allocations for Villa v Blues matches can be confirmed.

The away allocation for each game will be 2,100 - a five per cent increase on last season in recognition of the behaviour of both sets of supporters.

This decision has been taken after consultation between West Midlands Police and the safety teams of both clubs.

The derby fixtures have already been put back to the Sunday - Blues v Villa on Sunday October 29 at 12noon and Villa v Blues on Sunday February 11 at 12noon.

Anyone who has enough credits and doesn't want to go to the sty - I am happy to take the ticket off you.

Giving each of us an extra 100 tickets like it's amazing. The way they policed the game at VP last season made it the safest game to attend all season. I didn't see a nose all day outside of the ground. Burnley had 5k+ at Blackburn the other night, both Manchester teams get 3k+, Chelsea had 3200 at Spurs last week. WMP are bottle jobs.

Using a game where this happened probably isn't the best example

And yet Strathclyde Police can handle 8,000 Celtic fans at Ibrox and vice versa. If our police are too incompetent to handle large away contingents, maybe they should be sent North of the border to find out how to do it.

Completely agree. I think it's utterly pathetic that they feel the need to reduce the allocations for these games.

Can't argue with that at all.

I just want to echo the earlier comment that the policing was so tight at the last game that I didn't see a Blues fan all day apart from in the ground. The allocations are daft.

That was a Blackburn fan, Burnley had 5,000 tickets and bar a flare (if you class that as trouble) the game passed without incident for them. On a Tuesday night

WMP are patronising and pathetic in their allocations for this derby, I really feel it spoils the atmosphere at both grounds. Anyone that wants trouble will find it tickets or not, in fact, the less tickets, the more people loitering around town drinking.

The Noses last time were loitering in a disused pub. 50-60 of them if you were curious as to why you were held under the railway bridge for so long.

We headed left at Mcdonalds island and had my Mrs parked at the ibis hotel for a quick getaway.
